jason todd needs a hug

Danny thought he escaped the League and his father's expectations for good when he was 8. To his surprise they came back for him. Recently escaping from the government and his adopted parents alike and trying to avoid both the GIW and the League he gets sucked back in anyways. He has a nephew now though, so thats cool. He's getting out again but at what cost? Is the gain worth it? Danyal Al Ghul-Fenton, the son of Ra's Al Ghul, Talia Al Ghul's younger brother, and the Demon Heir- fell into the Fenton's life at the age of 8 only to get ripped back into his old life ten years later. He manages to get out again with Jason Todd under the assumption he'll assist him in his mission. He assists him a lot more positively instead. The league is still on his back though, after all Ra's still needs an heir. Can Danny escape his family again?

Dick falls victim to cuddle pollen. Jason, growing up in Crime Alley, has only ever heard them being advertised as one thing.

When Garth asked Jason what phrases he wanted translated, the mer hunched down in the water and blew furious bubbles before huffing, “No.” Garth frowned. You already know how to say that. What other things do you need to be able to say to Bruce and Alfred? Of the speech, Bruce recognized his name and maybe Alfred’s. It made it feel like something was clawing inside his chest, knowing that he couldn’t communicate properly with this child living in his pool. Jason curled his lip back. I know human words. You really don’t. --- Or: Mer Jason's recovery from trafficking.

“You think Tim’s a bad liar?” Dick asked, giving Jason a quizzical look. “I don’t think he even knows lying is an option. He’s an open book.” OR Tim lies a lot. So does Jason. But they can’t lie to each other.

Jason has figured out that there are two groups of people: the "Heys" who keep him in a bathtub with too little water and subject him to unimaginable pain every time they pry scales from his body and the "Assholes" who buy the scales. So when he's taken from the Heys by some Asshole, he's not stupid enough to assume his situation will actually improve at all. All humans, after all, are terrible--especially Assholes who wear demon skin and don't quite grasp how lost Jason really is. (In which Jason misunderstands pretty much everything about humans and Bruce is an asshole...in the nicest way possible.)

Jason Todd doesn't need a friend. Unfortunately, Tim Drake is friend-shaped. He is also a nosy stalker who loves to talk.

He’s not back with grandfather at the league of assassins. He’s not training with brutal, inhumane tactics that leave him battered and bruised, questioning his worth every moment. His limbs don’t ache and he can’t taste blood in his mouth. He’s not fighting to the death. He’s safe. He takes in another deep breath and wipes at his face with the back of his long sleeve pyjama shirt, feeling the dampness from his eyes. The bright blue colour and soft material is another ridiculous, yet comforting reminder he is safe. Back at the league they wore itchy shirts and trousers to sleep. Practical incase of an emergency, but not comforting in the slightest. At home, Bruce - and mainly Dick, subject him to bright, colourful and incredibly gentle children's pyjamas with inane prints and matching designs. -/-/- Or the one where Damian wakes up from a nightmare, and is coerced by Jason Todd of all people to seek comfort from Bruce.
