When Hades offers Percy sanctuary and Percy declines it, instead taking the quest to retrieve his helmet. During the quest, Percy gets Hades’ children out of the Lotus Hotel and brings them to Medusa, for safe-keeping. And when Sally finally leaves Gabe, with no place to go, Percy suggests that they could also stay with Medusa. These different decisions, these new relationships, are going to change Percy's life drastically.
