One of these days, Percy was going to go to Olympus and demand the gods did something about all the monsters that ran amok. He could deal with the small ones (though, truth be told, they tended to avoid him, now), but some were insistent. Percy knew he’d made enemies with various monsters throughout his life, but this was starting to get ridiculous.
“One of these days,” Annabeth said, pushing a loose strand of hair off her face, “we’re going to have a normal date.” She sounded just as annoyed as Percy felt, if not more.
“I hope so,” Percy grumbled. He spun Riptide in a large arc, passing through several monsters in one go. They dissipated into dust, briefly overtaking his vision. “This is getting old.”
