Reasonable Adjustments
Reasonable Adjustments
When Eddie gets a phone call from his son's science teacher about reasonable accommodations it sets off a series of events that turn his life completely upside down. "I should probably get going," Buck says. "It's a school night after all." Eddie appreciates this devotion to duty, but at the same time he's a little disappointed. He's repaid Buck's favor so now there's no need for them to see each other except on parent teacher night. But he doesn't want that. It's been a handful of hours and the thought of Buck never coming by again already seems impossible. "Look," he says, letting the words come out of his mouth before he can overthink them back in again. "I don't know about you, but making friends when you're a single dad with an insane job is hard. I have your number. Is it okay if I use it for non-school purposes?" Buck's insta-smile is so bright it's practically blinding. "I would love that."

The City on the Edge of Forever
“We need to talk,” Eddie said quietly, while they waited for the elevator in the hotel lobby. Buck huffed next to him. “No shit, Eddie.”“Not, uh, not just about that,” he said, and then Buck was looking at him curiously and Eddie almost got cold feet. If he didn't tell him, they weren't married, right? He pulled out his wallet, carefully turned it over, and let the rings drop into his hand. “About this.”Buck, to give him credit, took it better than Eddie had. “No..” he whispered, looking horrified. “Noo! We didn't..” Or: Buck and Eddie wake up with a bad hangover, a marriage certificate and more questions than answers. Eddie realizes he has to reevaluate some things, but life gets in the way.

Buck loves music. After the lawsuit, he finds the time to express everything that’s happened into song form, building a safety net of lyrical prose. What he doesn’t expect is that his music takes off, skyrocketing him to fame under the alias “Evan Buchanan”. When Bobby forces him to use all of his vacation time, he decides to embark on his North American tour. As his absence in the station grows, the 118 realize how much they ruined Buck. As Buck’s last performance at Dodger Stadium approaches, can the team rectify their mistakes? (This is a LOT of Taylor Swift repurposed as Buck’s songs btw) (btw idk how firefighter leave works oopsies)

finally found what i’ve been looking for
finally found what i’ve been looking for
The dying light catches the hair on Buck’s stomach, glinting where it smatters across the firm, broad planes of his belly—Eddie resolutely does not pay heed to his monkey brain’s kneejerk response of bite—crowding thick and snaking down into the waistband of his shorts. Eddie’s not going to pass out, he’s going to die. “Eds,” Buck grins, catching sight of him. “Ready to get your ass handed to you?” He scoops up the basketball resting on the bench, letting it twirl effortlessly on a fingertip. Eddie is not going to pass out or die, God doesn’t love him enough for either of those things, Eddie is going to chub into the world’s least concealable boner in these baggy-ass shorts that won’t hide shit and then he’s going to have to ask Chim’s friends to mercy-kill him. or, buck's good at basketball, eddie's trying really hard not to commit an act of public indecency about it, and maybe, just maybe, a slightly bloody beachside pick-up game can be the start of something new

Don't Push Me So Far Away I Can't Reach You
It turns out that Eddie Diaz is a slut. Now Buck is in no way slut-shaming anyone, he would never, not only because it’s completely unacceptable and people can do whatever the hell they want with their own bodies as long as everything is consensual, but because of the old saying and all - those in glass houses, yadda yadda. Buck knows slutty, he was slutty, but Eddie’s slutty is a whole other kind of slutty, not like Buck’s, which was sad and lonely and done for reasons he’s needed a lot of therapy to come to terms with, but Eddie’s? Eddie’s is fun and happy and joyful sluttiness. (or the one where Buck thinks he and Eddie are just friends with benefits so he pushes Eddie to date other people because he’s an idiot.)

All his important documents, ample amounts of clothes, toiletries, chargers for his phone and laptop, and anything else important he could fit in the two duffles he threw in the back of the jeep. Maddie’s Jeep. When she’d given it to him, she told him to go wherever he wanted. He didn’t really know where that was yet, but he figured by the time he reached the airport he’d figure it out. He thought about calling her. He thought about telling her his plan. “No.” He told himself. “She’ll just try and stop me. I need to do this.” After packing up the jeep, he went back inside. He took out a sticky note and a pen and wrote one simple sentence: ‘Don’t come looking for me.’ ——————————————— What if after Eddie blew up at him in the grocery store, Buck decided to run away?

He pouts, “I feel like we’ve steered away from the topic.” “I-” Eddie goes to argue, but stops himself. “I’m sorry, yeah. Yeah, you’re right.” He nods, then wets his lips before looking Buck up and down once, “Sex.” he whispers against his mouth, “You and me.” “You and I.” Buck whispers right back, raising his eyebrows with anticipation. “Yup.” There’s an accentuation on the “p” that Eddie drags longer than necessary, “I’ve been thinking about it too.” he adds, bringing his hands around Buck’s face, his thumbs tracing over his eyebrows a few times before resting there. “Mmmh.” He leans into the touch, “What have you thought about?” OR : the buddie first time fic

In a Hopeless Place
In a Hopeless Place
There's an active shooter situation at Powell Middle School. The 118 rushes to the scene to be of assistance and to ensure the safety of Christopher Diaz and Denny Wilson, who are students there. Science teacher Evan Buckley will do whatever he can to get his students out of the situation safely, though escape seems unlikely from their position in the 3rd-floor library. Things get worse when an explosion brings part of the building down. Amidst the wreckage, he seeks to save the kids and find his sister. He winds up finding the family he never knew he always wanted. Alternate Universe fic. Things to know for the 'verse is that Buck is Christopher and Denny's science teacher at Powell Middle School. Because he isn't a firefighter, he does not know any of the 118. Maddie ended up taking a job as the school's nurse--and she never got introduced to Chimney. The rest is fairly canon. Athena and Bobby are still married. Harry is staying with his dad in Miami. TW: Most of the story will take place during the aftermath of a school shooting where explosives are set off. There are some gunshot wounds as well as other injuries described (though most not graphically).

“Is that what I think it is?” Buck asked, sounding unsure and apprehensive.
