Plenty of kids had no last name at all, which makes it more believable that Uzumaki is his real family name. But what does that mean? Who are the Uzumaki? Is he the only one left? How can he find out? Were his family shinobi? Merchants? Regular civilians? He is determined to find out. ... And it kind of spirals from there in ways he never could have imagined. Who knew that posing a simple question would change his life zo dramatically?

There's a pair of married kunoichi in town, new and strange and adopting Naruto like it's nothing.
