Danny doesn't like being summoned, especially by the league of assassins. Those guys suck. If you're going to summon an all powerful entity at least do it right. A sandwich or something would be nice. He still wouldn't do their bidding anyway but it's the thought that counts. The one time he mentioned this to the league they offered him a child. Well. If they're offering Danny's gonna get the kid out of there. I mean really. Who in their right mind would offer him a child without laying out parameters. It was insulting really. "Do you have another place to go, kid?" "My father is Bruce Wayne" "Lol, wacky. I'll drop you off with him then." Danny sticks around because the Waynes are pretty cool, and Damian is very clingy.

After being alive for thousands of years, Kurama thought that he’d seen the depths of humanity’s idiocy long before he ever was forced into bondage at the hands of an idealistic idiot and his seal-master of a wife. Given the current situation surrounding his latest jailor clearly he’d been wrong. Considering how high that bar was before the latest clusterfuck he was witness to while bound and contained inside an insignificant human – fleshies, he’d never understand how they functioned with all their oozing and shedding and blech, give him good clean chakra any day – it was almost impressive. Almost. If the reason for their current idiocy wasn’t something as fucking idiotic as human politics and as ridiculous as taking wrongful revenge on an innocent human-kit, that was. or/TLDR: Kurama is done with humans, his vessel clearly wasn't being taken care of, and Naruto ends up raised away from Konoha by a skulk of spirit foxes and one very grumpy fox bijuu who has issues with intermittent bouts of rage against humans in general and idiotic seal masters in particular.

In theory, everyone on earth is supposed to have a soulmate. Someone who is perfect for them in every way. A storybook romance, or a best friend you can always confide in. Fate is supposed to pull them together at the right moment. Real life is never as easy as the stories though, and Fate has always had a way of fucking with vigilantes. Danny always wanted a soulmate. At least he did before he died, now his life (afterlife?) is just starting to get manageable. He’s settled into his new role, doing what he can for both the ghost and human world and is looking forward to a quiet (if excruciatingly boring) summer vacation when his life is literally turned upside down and he is forced to confront parts of his past that he’d rather remained buried. Damian has been resigned to the idea that he will have to protect his soulmate since he was a child. A soulmate is a weakness that others might choose to exploit. Nothing could have prepared him for the reality that is his perfect match. Perhaps he should have listened when his mother said his soulmate would have to be anything besides ordinary to compliment him.

It's a generally accepted fact amongst the members of the bat family that Alfred's cookies are the absolute best and that the last cookie is the best of all. The last cookie is coveted and fought over. The last cookie is important. When the Justice League needs to summon the Ghost King and every offering has been rejected, what else is there to try?

Bruce would not call himself the best father in the world. Hell, some days he wouldn't even call himself a GOOD father. He knew he hadn't been the best influence for his kids, and the fact that he enabled their participation in something as dangerous as Vigilantism definitely didn't win him points. He'd put his work above his children a few times too many, so focused on getting answers. He needed to keep everyone safe, be the symbol Gotham deserved. At the end of the day, his children suffered for it. Still, Bruce figured he'd gotten better at this whole "parenting" thing. He hadn't had any major fuck ups in quite a few years. Adding Duke to the fold had gone smoothly--even Damian hadn't put up too much of a fuss at his newest brother. His children and him generally had an amicable relationship, and they all seemed happy with their lives. Bruce had done some good. Of course his good streak couldn't last. ~~~ This probably won't make a ton of sense if you haven't read "The Devil's After Both of Us" first, so I recommend reading that before reading this one-shot.

Damian has saved dozens of stray animals throughout his years as Robin. He's been bitten, scratched, yowled at, and at one point even pissed on. Damian knows this humiliation is simply a fear response. These animals are wary. They're hurt and need proof that Damian will not harm them like so many humans had in the past. He is patient. He can wait out the period of distrust in order to find these animals better homes. When he starts summoning Danny for weekly visits, Damian never thought he'd be treating his brother like a stray. Yet, something is clearly weighing on Danny, and Damian is determined to figure it out. ~~~ This takes place in between the 5th and 6th summonings in "The Devil's After Both of Us". I'd definitely recommend reading that for context.

I have, I dunno, pre-calc homework in my bag. We are not the same." Or: Danny accidentally gets summoned. He’s not happy about it.

Crowley gets an unusual summoning… and a new pet/minion of chaos. Inspired by a meme: Ouija board rugs: it's all fun and games until the Roomba accidentally summons a demon... I'm sure you can all see where this is going. Anyhow this was intended as a one off short comedy, but then between me, CynSyn and several other Good Omens fan friends and my other half, we came up with so many more ridiculous shenanigans that Crowley, Aziraphale and Crowley's demonic hellspawn can get up to together that I decided to make this a weekly updated series which continued for over a year. There won't be any other regular updates, but I'm not discounting the possibility of the odd chapter happening in future if inspiration strikes. For now I'm calling it a completed work.
