"You killed my father," he says. "No offence, but he totally deserved it," the stranger agrees with cheerful solemnity. "What the hell are you doing in my home?" Chris demands. The kid is perched on a windowsill in Chris' office, as nonchalantly as if this were something he did every day, as if they were familiar. "I was just wondering," the kid speaks softly, fond amusement sewn through with a peculiar resignation, "how you'd feel about putting down some nazis?" The MCU is horrible about portraying realistic consequences for things that happen. What if characters were called out on their poor decisions and had to face the consequences of their actions?

Self-Insert. Gregor Clegane was one of the worst people to have ever existed. But what if someone else lived his life? What if a modern person of sound mind and honorable character was reborn as The Mountain? How would his rational and reasonable mind impact the ultimate outcome of Westeros? During the battle at The DoM Hermione is captured and brought to Voldemort. When he uses Legitimacy papers to find her parents what he learns angers him. Hermione is not Muggle-born, she is his. Having no idea he had a child, Voldemort changes gears when it comes to the war hoping to gain Hermione's trust while doing so. Severus has feelings for Hermione that are, in his eyes, inappropriate to feel for a student. It doesn't help when Voldemort wants him to bond with Hermione to protect her when she returns to Hogwarts to play interference with Albus. Harry is conflicted when he learns of Hermione's true identity. Dumbledore isn't the man Hermione thought he is to be.

He and Xiǎo Xīngchén were meant to be together, obviously, but the dark had proven too suffocating for Xiǎo Xīngchén to survive (red on white, red on white, bad thought, bad thought), so obviously Xuē Yáng had to step into the light. Being good couldn't be that difficult. Idiots managed it every day, and they didn't even have Xiǎo Xīngchén's delighted laughter to look forwards to.

Author’s note 11/7/2021: This work is complete! Hermione thought her biggest issues this year would be being stuck in a dead-end job and not quite getting along with her new officemate, Draco Malfoy. However, the Ministry is about turn her tidy and contained life upside down with the announcement of the new Marriage and Family Law, and there's more trouble brewing as outbursts of uncontrolled magic begin to wreck havoc in the office. Draco has been reassigned to Corporate Services after an Auror mission went spectacularly sideways; at least, that's what he's telling everyone. The truth is hardly as straightforward and Granger has him increasingly on edge, so naturally, he was only too pleased to learn of the new Law that was going to out him as a Creature to the woman he loves.
