It's 1995, and Castiel's high school years are destined to be difficult: home-schooled until eighth grade, he is awkward, shy, and socially inept. Now, Sapnap has to return to Texas for the first time since his move to Florida for his step-sister's birthday. What's waiting for him when he arrives is going to make keeping his sexuality a secret from his family that much harder.

Dean Winchester is a Texas Ranger traveling to the town of Fort Griffin Flat, Texas, to rendezvous with the rest of his company when he meets Castiel, a prostitute in town. Answer to the AU Fusion Challenge prompt #20 in which whreflections asked to see Something in which Dean is a Texas cowboy who somehow meets Cas, a cheap prostitute scraping out a living in the worst part of town. Dean's not even into guys, but he runs into Cas a few times and eventually ends up saving him from a dangerous customer, and somehow, Dean finds his mind changing without his consent after that.
