“The place you give the Bite has meaning," Derek says. "Biting someone on the side is to make them your beta. It makes them your subordinate, but it also invites them into the pack with the full protection of the alpha. Biting someone on the legs indicates that you’re turning them to an omega. And biting someone on the arm, particularly the wrist, turns someone as your equal. It’s a mating ritual.” Stiles nearly chokes on a mouthful of granola. “A what?”

Stiles had never known more to his life than the pack. Thus, when the pack decided he's too much of a collateral damage, he runs. While running from his past, he stumbled his way into S.H.I.E.L.D and somehow managed to squirm his way into the hearts of The Avengers, especially a certain Captain's. When he had finally amount to a life worth living, the world just had to crash and burn. He and The Avengers are humanity's last hope--a heavy burden to bear with hard decisions to make, all while dealing with his old pack. Sometimes, you just can't save everyone; Stiles learned that the hard way.

Two months after the Nogitsune's defeat, Stiles is having trouble coming to terms with what he did while under its influence. When Derek's birthday rolls around, the pack plan a surprise party for their alpha, also hoping that the celebration will help raise Stiles' spirits. During the festivities, secret looks of longing shared between the two catch Erica's attention, and she bands together with Allison and Lydia and plots to get them to admit their feelings for each other. The plans quickly go awry, however, when a new antagonist appears in Beacon Hills with connections to Derek's past and Stiles finds that the Nogitsune left him with more than just guilt.

When a strange man appears in the Hale Pack territory with an unusual proposition for Stiles and Lydia, Stiles is unable to resist going back in time to stop the Hale House fire. Even after a few bumps in the road, Stiles finds himself in the past with one nearly-insurmountable goal - getting Talia Hale and the rest of her family to trust him with their lives.

“You never have hurt anyone. Not then and not now. You just made Coach piss his pants and that’s funny shit there.” Jackson told Stiles. They all underestimated how responsible Stiles felt for the Nogitsune and what happened. No wonder he was afraid to go near the pack, not to mention the whole no control over magic thing. He felt Stiles huff out a breath at the part about Coach which was a good start. Or after the Nogitsune, Stiles keeps secrets, there are new people in Beacon Hills, and the Pack has fallen apart. Stiles starts to figure out his role in the pack, piecing it back together, and trying to keep everyone safe.

"...For him pack was seeing the light come back to Stiles' eyes while Peter watched over him protectively. It was coffee in the morning with Peter and Chris, watching the two of them fight like cats and dogs; it was knowing that they would protect each other despite that if need be. Pack was a casual, easy hand on his shoulder or the back of his neck and being able to give the same just as easily. It was arguing over how often Peter slipped him foods Stiles had forbidden, waking up to find Chris had done his laundry so he wouldn't have to wear a dirty uniform to work, and it was Stiles doing ridiculous amounts of research on safe sex to encourage him to start a relationship. ..." With Scott and his pack unable (or unwilling) to properly look after the territory once protected by the Hales, Beacon Hills is growing even more dangerous. They may not have an Alpha, but there's no denying that a pack is still forming around the Stilinskis - especially Stiles. When push comes to shove, they'll do what they need to protect each other and their territory. All they need is a Spark, and then everything will change.

Stiles has scars. He owns that, he accepts it, he's cataloged and memorized every single one, he's hyper fucking aware of them all. // "What do you want, Peter?" Having the more untrustworthy of the Pack getting protective weirds him the fuck out, leaves an odd fluttering in his chest, like moths, waiting perilously and suicidally to be burned. He doesn't like it. "You're injured," the man says, "and whatever it is, it's put you in enough pain that I nearly fainted when I-" "- Used your werewolf mojo on me without my permission?" Stiles smirks, and Peter gives him a black look, crossing a leg over his knee and smoothing out some invisible wrinkle on his pants. "Tell me the truth Stiles, how bad is it?" [Or: The one where Stiles has scars, is more than a little fucked up, and Peter notices. He helps.]

Stiles thought everything leading up to Allison’s death was hell, but he was wrong. Spending senior year dealing with the pack’s dismissal of him while secretly training to be Deaton’s replacement was hell. Feeling guilty and hating himself for what the Nogitsune did was hell. Being in love with someone who would never love him back was hell. Well, if you’re going through hell, keep going.

Nearly two years after being possessed by the Nogitsune, Stiles is still trying to get a handle on things. Away at college, he feels more stable; more settled. But at home in Beacon Hills for summer break after his Freshman year at UC Berkeley, he is once again plagued by nightmares. The thing is, Void left behind a thousand years worth of information in Stiles' head. Information that Stiles is slowly realizing can help undo some of the damage that was done to Beacon Hills. Between bodies once again turning up in Beacon Hills and an increasingly close relationship with Derek Hale, Stiles has a lot on his plate. Factor in a talking tree, a sacred duty to the land, and some dead/not-dead drama, and Stiles is about to have one Hale of a summer.

The months following Allison's death have passed Stiles by in a haze of monotony. He sleepwalks through days that seem to lose their color, an unwilling passenger in a body he no longer trusts. Eventually, he thinks, he'll just fade away. He isn't sure anyone would notice. Then, during a spur of the moment grocery run, he stumbles upon Derek Hale attempting to console a lost child, and for the first time in recent memory the world doesn't seem so awful.He's not sure what he'd been expecting when he eventually convinces Derek to move into the Stilinski's spare bedroom, but a newfound passion for weeding and topsoil certainly isn't it.

Enough was enough. Apparently Stiles has a spark, whatever the hell that means, but every time he asks about it Deaton shoots him down or gives him a round about answer that leaves Stiles with even more questions. After everything he has been through Stiles knows that the supernatural will keep coming to Beacon Hills. He has learned many things over the years of being a human in a supernatural shit storm. or Stiles decides to find someone to teach him how to use his Spark

“Good morning, kiddo,” his dad said, and the words hurt. All Stiles wanted to do was step forward and let his dad hug him, allow his father to give him comfort. His father's hugs had always been all-encompassing, the way he would fold himself around Stiles and hold him as tightly as he could. Stiles stepped around him, careful not to let foreign skin touch anything that was special to him. Anything he loved.

Derek touches a Unicorn and it doesn't try to kill him, despite the fact he is no longer a virgin. When Peter tells the pack about Kate, Stiles makes it his mission to give Derek the kind of relationship he deserves.

Stiles has been hiding a secret from everyone but his mother and father since birth he's not actually a Stilinski his biological father was Howard Stark and when his brother insists he come spend the summer it's time to come clean to the pack, he's not doing this alone, he needs Scott and Lydia. Or Stiles may or may not get recruited into shield/avengers but he definitely does fall for one super soldier and he definitely gets jealous of Natasha's constant flirting with the original avenger. Plus a whole load of brother Stiles/Tony feels

“It’s 2 A.M.,” Derek says. “What are you doing here?” Stiles turns to him with raised eyebrows. “We haven’t finished Harry Potter,” he says, as if it’s obvious, and Derek just stares at him. “I mean, if you don’t want to know what happens with Fluffy and the dragon, fine. But I personally think that the plot only gets better from here." (In which Derek and Stiles are both broken, but it takes a few paperback novels for them to realize that it makes them fit together just right. A post-3B Canon Divergence, based on comment that said someone needs to sit Derek down on a couch and read him a nice book.) (Updated Note: Trans Lives Matter. Obviously this was written years before we knew JK Rowling was a TERF and objectively terrible person, but I want to apologize anyways that the book used is Harry Potter. The nogitsune has wrecked Stiles nearly beyond repair. Scott enlists the help of a member of his pack to help right his brother (and hopefully also get said assignee right in the process). aka Derek and Stiles start cuddling to help Stiles exorcise the demons and it works. Really, REALLY well.

Stiles has trouble dealing after the Nogitsune and comes up with a...unique solution to make himself feel safer and stop thinking so much.

"I wish that Derek didn’t lose his family in the fire...that Peter didn’t kill Laura that night and then bite Scott. I wish they’d all been able to live out happy lives." Stiles thought that after the Nogitsune there would be time to rest and recover. He was wrong, with a deadly Necromancer arriving in Beacon Hills less than a month after Allison's death, leaving a path of death and destruction in it's wake. Scott, Kira, Derek and Stiles are able to defeat the Necromancer, but pay a heavy cost. Now Stiles is the only one left, the only surviving member of the pack. There isn't anybody left in Beacon HIlls alive that he ever cared about. Nearly catatonic with his grief, Stiles packs a bag and plans to leave Beacon HIlls behind, but exhaustion and heavy rain combine forces, and a wishful though becomes more than just a thought, but a reality.

Silence, always silence. No matter how many times he calls, whenever the pack are together all he receives is silence. His grades have dropped. The nightmares are back. And his friends? Well, maybe he doesn't have any anymore.

Lydia was supposed to be valedictorian, that was the plan, she would graduate top of her class, then get a first class education and win a Fields medal. Only she isn't valedictorian, Stiles is and she doesn't know how she missed it, how she never noticed the A's he gets on every test or the perfect SAT score he told absolutely no-one about. Since when is Stiles Stilinski smarter than Lydia Martin?

Three seconds later the window was sliding open and Stiles was sticking his head out to squint at Derek. "I'm making curly fries, do you want some or do you want to sit out here and keep pretending like I don't know you've been hanging out on my roof every night for the last two weeks?" Derek's face dropped into a look for shock. "How the hell did you know I was out here?" Stiles huffed a sigh and rolled his eyes "Dad saw you the first night he went back to work and texted me asking why the hell you were skulking around the roof. Now do you wanna come in or do you actually enjoy freezing your ass off out here all night." Stiles disappeared back into his room before Derek could reply.

Everyone goes back to normal after Stiles is freed of the possession of the Nogitsune. Everyone except for Stiles.

Lydia returns to Beacon Hills after a few years away, bringing with her a troubled past. Unbeknownst to her, Stiles has also just returned to town after graduating from George Washington University, bringing back plenty of secrets of his own. With the pack finally reunited, Scott hopes things will fall into place...but things are never as simple as they seem.

After everything is over, Stiles is afraid to fall asleep.
