The last time he had seen Regulus Black was years ago, and now here he was immaculately dressed, scowl on his face and James couldn't stop staring. Why hadn't he seen Regulus in years? Regulus has spent the last five years avoiding James Potter because he couldn't take suffering through his childhood crush a second later. Now all of that was for nothing, because James Potter was standing across from him, smirking at him from behind those glasses of his, calling Regulus 'Professor Black' and setting Regulus' skin on fire.

*COMPLETE* PTSD is messy. Mix in two concerned godfathers, an overbearing professor and the journey of growing up, you will see it gets even more chaotic. And Harry? He isn't coping well with the sudden change. ORHarry almost dies at the hands of Vernon Dursley but is rescued and thrust into a life filled with love and care. Despite the newfound safety, his mental illness thrives amidst new adventures, mishaps and relationships included in being fourteen.

“Right, well I’d say it’s about time to put an end to this nonsense, wouldn’t you?” James nodded sagely. “You’ve obviously still got some things to chat through with him, but he will talk to you about it, Remus. He thinks the world of you, you know that. The gang try their hardest to navigate it as real, legitimate adults.
