Harry Potter has fallen, and Voldemort has ushered in a new reign of terror for all who opposed him. Hermione Granger is one of the "lucky" ones, largely spared from harm as the muggleborn boon personally selected by the mysterious Lucius Malfoy.
The world as she knew it has been irrevocably broken, and as the months pass in her gilded prison, Hermione grows more and more restless for an escape. Can some form of solace be found in her enigmatic, surprisingly merciful captor who seems to harbour secrets of his own?
