It’s been five months, and still Alex is never completely prepared for Henry’s performances. Private or otherwise.Or,Henry is a night dancer, and he’s everything Alex wants.

Saturday nights in the ER were, from Alex’s humble point of view, the worst. When the rest of the week tended to be incredibly busy still —as emergency rooms always were, Saturday nights brought a whole new level of insanity Alex had yet to get used to. — In which Alex's shift in the ER turns out to be more interesting than previously planned when a certain patient is admitted in quite a... peculiar situation.

Henry is an unknown writer who has signed with a clinic to be a surrogate to finance his first book. When he finds out that someone has selected him to be their surrogate, Henry is more than elated. That someone, however, is high profile lawyer, Alexander Claremont-Diaz. Surely this should be an easy process. Henry is about to find out.

“When I was in college, my girlfriend and I used to play this game—” Henry has been through extensive and rigorous etiquette training. Private tutors. The whole lot. He’s been thoroughly and expertly edified to remain impassive, attentive, unruffled, in even the most extreme of circumstances. “You try for eloquence when your hot as fuck boyfriend trots on in and doesn’t feel the need to warn you about his new accessory,” Alex argues, pulling their bodies back flush. “Like … oh my god, baby, I can’t deal with you. What the fuck. You look obscene. Did it hurt?” “It stung a bit,” Henry admitted, watching in amusement as Alex’s eyebrows knit together in concern. “Baby,” Alex clucks his tongue and gently guides Henry’s face down to his lips. After David gets adopted by Prince Henry he needs to get used to his new life as a royal dog. His soon-to-be best friend Mr. Wobbles helps him, somehow the cat seems to know everything. David and his new dad have good days and bad days, but everything gets more complicated when Henry falls in love with a guy named Alex. So it took him some time, well it should have been obvious from his first reaction to Henry’s ’But we were ever so careful, dear’ message, giggling into his phone like a fucking tennager, but he is now very well aware of the fact that he is into Henry. And reluctantly he can admit that it might not be purely physical attraction, he may or may not be harboring some feelings towards the unnecessarily charming asshole as well. OR What would happen if Alex figured out he was bisexual and attracted to Henry before the New Year's Eve Party.

Henry should leave, he should wait until everyone is asleep and then silently leave, without a trace. As if he never existed in Alex's life, as if he never touched Alex's body, as if he never wanted only exist in his heart and mind. Because that is what Alex deserves. Alex deserves someone who can love him out and proud, someone who is not shamed for his existence, someone as bright as him, not the pale starlight gleam Henry is. But lying there on the pile of mattresses they piled together and called a bed- Henry can not even find it in himself to breathe, let alone get up and go. Betrayed by his own existence, once again. They haven’t seen one another since they exchanged a whispered argument about profiteroles at some fancy dinner over a year ago, when—to the rest of the world, at least—Henry was a straight man living in Kensington Palace and Alex was a straight woman living in the White House. And now… a gay man and a bisexual trans man meet in Texas. Henry’s whole face scrunches up as his frown deepens and turns more sad than confused. “I really wish you would just—”Alex sighs and rolls his eyes. “Will you give up already? I can deal with him.”“Christ, I’m not saying you can’t,” Henry says exasperatedly, “I’m saying you don’t have to. You carry so much, Alex. I’m simply trying to help you lighten the load in any infinitesimal way you’ll let me.”“And having a guy you hate move in with you is somehow only an infinitesimal inconvenience to you?”Henry gives Alex a tired, cold look and clenches his jaw. “If it gets you away from your transphobic roommate,” he says, low but vehement, “then yes.
