the buckley siblings have bad parents (9-1-1 tv)

After the lawsuit ruined his relationship with his team and his family, Buck ran from his life and the people he loved the most. Nine years later he returns as a changed man with a family of his own hoping to be reunited with the family he had lost. But nine years is a long time to stay away, will everything be forgotten and forgiven or has it simply been too long for them to be a family again?( i suck at summaries, please keep that in mind!) Athena Grant gets a call from the hospital on her day off, claiming that she needs to come in to discuss options for Buck, as his emergency contact. A lot of information is reveled, and she finally understands what the boy she's come to see as her own has been through. Or: Buck throws another clot, calls the 118 & Maddie out on their shit, lets Athena hold him as he cries, and then finally talks to Eddie.

When Philip and Margaret decide to visit Los Angeles on the weekend of a big Grant-Nash barbeque, Bobby encourages Buck and Maddie to invite their parents so they don't have to miss out. When Philip and Margaret cause problems, Buck sees what he means to the family he chose. AKA I was angry at the Buckley parents and decided to vent in the form of little sister wrath.
