Gilderoy's "discovery" of the Chamber of Secrets is a short-term success. Other consequences are not short-term at all. Explorations of the Chambers turns up more rooms and information than he expected. One of which is a ritual that is called 'Slytherin Binding Ritual'. Thinking it meant binding Salazar Slytherin's ghost to him and thinking 'meh, not like I'm gonna lose anything', Harry performs the ritual without even thinking of researching more about it. He forgot one of the most important thing in the world. He's Fate's personal chew toy.

From the moment Charlie left Hogwarts, he'd heard about Harry Potter. The longer time goes on, the more their lives become intertwined and the more Charlie can't keep himself away (8 year age gap be damned). This is an AU, but uses as many elements from canon as possible. It follows the order of the books but is mostly from Charlie's perspective. Up until later chapters of the story, this all could feasibly exist within the canon universe. Don't be turned off by the 'Underage' tag, I just wanted to cover my bases. Also note the story is only rated at Teen. That being said, if that's a trigger for you then protect yourself and pass this one by. I hold no grudges :)

Heavily dives into my own interpretation of Wizarding nobility and the function of the Ancient and Noble Houses, with some elements borrowed from other fics/fanon elements but nothing is explicitly copied, these are my own ideas that carry influences from the rest of fanon. Features a Harry that slowly grows into his own role as a powerful wizard and a Sirius that learns to grow up and process his life. I'm going to try and stay away from making characters overpowered, so this isn't quite OP!Harry but it's definitely Powerful!Harry who, by the end of the story, will convincingly be going toe-to-toe with the other powerhouses in the setting.

As a baby, Harry Potter saved the world by not dying. At nine years old, Sirius Black rescued him from the neglect and abuse at the hands of the Dursleys. Once Sirius whisked him to Victoria BC Canada, Harry studied tirelessly to become one of the most powerful and practiced wizards in the world by age 15. By then he had destroyed all the horcruxes. He only had to die. After seven minutes, his coven revived him so he could toss the shriveled remains of Voldemort's screaming soul through the Veil. He had saved the world for the second time. At 17, after he had taken on the family title of Lord Potter, Harry returns to Britain for his first final year at Hogwarts. He has been to the Book of Bonds and knows this is his last chance to find his soulmate before they disappear into the wider world. But Fate can't seem to keep herself from employing her favorite pawn. Can he solve the prophetic warning the Sorting Hat gave him in time to save the world for the third time?

It didn’t matter that Harry fell asleep thinking about a busy Saturday in Diagon Alley, or digging through the attic with his father, Sirius, and Uncle Remus. It didn’t matter that he went to bed with a stomach full of warm food, or that his mother tucked him into bed even though he was fourteen and he didn’t need it, but she still did it because she loved him and he loved her. None of that mattered; the nightmares still came. --- --- --- How different would the world of Harry Potter be if James and Lily had lived? Ships not listed because I'm unsure if there will be deviations from canon in that respect. Characters will be added as they appear. The work itself is largely Gen, focused on family and friendship. However, endgame ships can be found in epilogue tag.

Draco Malfoy is born a squib and is rejected by his parents. Raised by Dobby, Draco grows up to be a kind and humble boy who may prove to be more than what he seemed. Completed.

When Harry and Draco have to make Tempo Inverso in potions class, Harry turns into an adorable baby, and Draco's stuck taking care of him.

After the second wizarding war, and unknown wizard a virus spread throughout magical England, causing roughly 80% of males to be in a coma while affecting 60% of the females. Through drastic measures, the Ministry of Magic divorced any witches or wizards that had their partners in a coma. So they were also in the ruling for the Ministry of Magic's new program, the marriage bed. Which is where the ministry hand pics one male to marry five women to repopulate. What will happen couple years down the road when the patients that have the wizards virus suddenly wake up from their coma to find that their husbands/wives are happily remarried to different people?

Harry doesn’t want anyone reporting what Umbridge is doing to him in detention. But that doesn’t mean Hermione has to just sit by.

How a person or wizard could tell if they were soulmates with another person was by kissing them. Everyone’s eyes were multi-coloured to start with, like that from birth, swirls of blues, greens, reds, pinks. Lots of colours intertwining and twisting, making for an altogether very attractive image. But once you kissed your soulmate for the very first time, both of your eyes would transform into just one colour. And that colour would be a mixture of both people’s favourite colours. No two pairs are exactly the same; some can be similar but no two people ever see colours the same way, every person sees it in a slightly different way. Only your eyes matched your soulmate’s; no one else’s. So maybe the reason Harry and Draco hadn’t kissed yet was in case they weren’t soulmates. After going from bitter enemies, to hesitant friends, to close friends, to boyfriends, none of the two wanted to face the harsh disappointment of them not actually being soulmates would be too great to take at the moment. Yet still, both boys wanted so much to find out the truth.
