They meet with many different challenges along the way, having to deal with the reactions of others - and what happens when Moriarty takes an interest? Lots of fluff. Like seriously there's loads. And there's a bit of angst/danger/getting things wrong too but mostly fluff and lots of sex :D

After being bitten in Afghanistan, John was invalided home. Being a werewolf was new to him, and he wasn't interested in any of the help or orientation that the Centre had to offer, but even his wolf knew better than to enter territory that had been marked. After being attacked and held hostage in Afghanistan, John Watson has lost the ability to find his alpha. While Sherlock and John are being held prisoner by Moriarty, John goes into heat. Jim chains them up just out of reach of each other and plays with John himself. I never cared much for Omegaverse. Sherlock was not in love with John Watson. They were friends, the very best of friends and nothing more. Just because John smelled ridiculously good was no reason to believe it was otherwise.

When John comes home to find a beta and his alpha brother asking to purchase him for mating and breeding, the omega is the first to say ‘yes’. Even a stranger is better than living under his father’s roof for another second.

According to the text books, breaking the bond between an Alpha and his Omega results in the death of the Omega. When John's Alpha, Professor Moriarty, is savagely murdered nobody expects John to survive. Still, here he is, alive and kicking - trying to start a new life, while clearing his name, and keeping unbonded Alphas at bay. Omegaverse with mentioning of rape/non-con and past abuse. None of this between Sherlock and John.

Since bonding with Sherlock, John produces so much lube before a heat that he needs to wear a nappy. He's avoided letting Sherlock see him that way so far because he hates the way it makes him feel. What he doesn't know is that it really turns Sherlock on.
