Down at the Farm
“All clear on the loading floor!” Sean called, waving to get the attention of the other workers below him.
The huge crane mechanism looked like it belonged on some sort of factory assembly line, but it was necessary to move the heavy metal frames the heifers were attached to. While they were heavy and occasionally unwieldy, it kept the straining muscular bodies trapped in place for any sort of transportation.
With a clang, the last frame was lowered into place, and Sean stepped forward with the harness and lead, crooning lovingly as the enraged face of the man currently locked in the frame.
“Yes, so uncomfortable,” he said, as if he were talking to a dog or a puppy. “Let’s get you out of there and to your stall.”
