It's dark again (it always was)
Inside the cramped and dusty shed, Tommy spotted the rifle hung on the wall. Phil had never used it – it was purely for intimidation factor, but there was ammunition stored in here, too. Just in case.
Pulling the gun down, he loaded it as Phil had taught him, fingers trembling so bad he dropped half of the bullets. He flicked off the safety and aimed at the door, finger slipping onto the trigger.
The door creaked, and Tommy sucked in a shaky breath.
The lightbulb hanging from the roof glowed brightly, almost blinding him.
And then Tommy was gone.
