On reading my stories, one might believe that Holmes and I have always been as we became, co-conspirators in everything. This was not at all the case. To begin with, I was a little in awe of him.

Some people believe that John spent Sherlock's three year hiatus quietly mourning. Those closest to him know that something entirely different happened.

Sherlock’s back from the dead after a year away. John is back in 221B Baker Street after a year on his own. A lot is just how it used to be, but a lot has changed. For example, they’re shagging now. But just shagging, because neither one of them can figure out how to talk about it outside of the bedroom. Majorly inspired by Christina Perri's "Distance" (hence the name), though with the larger scope of the details of a year away, a reunion, and at least three cases. Now with fanmix!

Sherlock's miraculous return from the dead acted as the catalyst to Sherlock and John finally getting together romantically. Not too long after their relationship starts however, John is kidnapped by Moran. Moran tortures John by force-feeding him. When Sherlock finally finds and rescues John, he has gained a LOT of weight. John feels horrible and thinks that Sherlock will no longer want him as a partner in cases or romantically. Sherlock has to show him that he still wants John and that they will work through John’s weight issue together.

Q has not always been Q nor has he always been on the side of the angels. When Q’s past comes back to haunt him it’s up to his older half-brother, Sherlock Homes, to orchestrate a rescue. A sequel to Brothers Three from the alternating viewpoints of both Q and John Watson.

For the first time, John sees Sherlock's bare back. He is heartbroken by the sight, seeing the physical evidence of Sherlock's torture.

John tries to move on and leave his past with Sherlock behind him, but Lestrade is baffled by a series of sniper hits on random civilians and ropes him into the case. Meanwhile, Sherlock recruits one of Moran's men to help him find and stop Moran once and for all. What neither of them realize is that John is in imminent danger.

Molly’s home has been broken into and vandalized, most likely by associates of Moriarty’s. In an attempt to keep her safe, Sherlock asks his brother to keep her at his home. Mycroft seems to be bending over backward to make Molly as comfortable and happy as possible, something she finds to be rather unusual, given everything Sherlock has ever mentioned about his brother. But as time goes on she finds Mycroft is not quite the legendary Ice Man everyone believes him to be…and wonders if she may have been fancying the wrong Holmes brother all along.

Sherlock has made a game out of deducing John's past three years in 221B. He doesn't expect to find anything of significance; really, he only starts the game out of boredom and mild curiosity.
