Merlin escapes from Morgana before she can heal him or implant the Fomorroh, leaving him lost and injured in the middle of the forest. By the time Arthur and Gwaine find him he is sick and exhausted, but on the way back to Camelot he manages reveal something shocking - he knows who the traitor in Camelot is, and that they are in league with Morgana.But will Arthur believe him? Merlin, Arthur and the knights are kidnapped by hunters whilst on a trip. Upon drugging Merlin and finding out about his secret omega status and magic, the leader of the group finds joy in taunting the others (mostly Arthur) with a drugged and submissive warlock. But dealing with the fallout reveals a lot more than just Merlin’s secrets. - "Merlin!” “I'm sorry.” He muttered, through the pain. "What? Why, why are you sorry? Merlin!?" He then smelt it, Omegan heat, and it smelt amazing, it smelt like home, it smelt like... Oh. Oh, gods, Merlin was an Omega.

“Merlin,” Arthur grumbled to his servant, who was sitting by the fire Merlin looks over his shoulder at Arthur curled up in his bedroll. “Get over here, it’s cold.” “You want me to come and cuddle you for warmth?” Merlin asked, tauntingly, but makes to stand up anyway. “It’s not cuddling,” Arthur insisted, though he opens his arms for Merlin to crawl into them. “It’s called survival. I’m stealing your warmth. It’s your duty to make sure I’m kept comfortable, is it not?” ~~~ Arthur doesn't realise Merlin is his Favourite. Merlin has no idea what a King's Favourite even is. Everyone else in Camelot knows Merlin is Arthur's Favourite.

Merlin was sharpening one of Arthur's swords out on the training field when a new alpha knight decides to try and boss him around and then try to teach him some manner. This does not sit well with Arthur.

Arthur thought him and Merlin getting kidnapped and tossed in an inescapable room was the worst of his luck. If only that were true. Or, a look into what Merlin is willing to sacrifice for Arthur and the prices Arthur is never willing for the person he loves to pay.

Arthur yells at Merlin, pushing him away in the process. When the unexpected strikes, he's faced with the possibility of them being the last words he ever spoke to his best friend. AKA, Merlin gets bonked on the head and Arthur panics.
