charles "charlie" spring (heartstopper)

Charlie Spring has been a physical therapist for the Leeds Badgers professional rugby team for two years. At the start of his third season, Nick Nelson is traded to the Badgers and both Nick and Charlie's worlds are turned upside down. Here it is, the Heartstopper x Sweater Weather crossover nobody but me clamored for! You do not need to read SW to read this fic. However, if you HAVEN'T read lumosinlove’s Sweater Weather (and Coast to Coast, and, well, everything), you absolutely should, because it is a remarkable piece of writing (as well as its own standalone AU). There will be parallels and divergences from both Heartstopper and Sweater Weather in this story. Do I know a ton about rugby? Nope! Do I live in England? I sure don't. Will I get a lot of things just wrong enough to be annoying? Definitely! Will there be science facts at the end of each chapter? I can’t help it. Enjoy the ride.

Charlie Spring is a somewhat prickly, slightly disorganised English student with an interest in journalism and absolutely no interest in rugby boys. Nick Nelson is a rugby boy. I wonder what will happen when they catch each other's scent on the first day of term...

Nick doesn't remember the moment it dawned on him. That this radiant, beautiful boy was someone he liked. Someone he wanted to touch, to hold, to get to know. He doesn't remember that but he remembers seeing him run for the first time, catching him behind the drums during a rehearsal he walked by. Christ, of course Nick noticed Charlie Spring back then and of course he remembers him now. Charlie Spring is the reason he found a part of himself he didn't know existed. or, Vertical form never happened, Nick and Charlie never met at Truham and now they're both students at the University of Leeds. Aka, another university fic but with my little spin to it. Rated M for mentions of Charlie's past, violence and possible lemons.
