Say you couldn't be a sex crimes detective anymore, what would you be? It's 1998. Olivia, having been rejected by SVU, goes undercover for Organized Crime at The Topaz Lounge. It's a gentleman's club owned by Manfredi Sinatra and operated by his son, Richard Wheatley. Elliot, in the midst of marital problems, asks to go undercover as a bouncer when underage girls are assaulted at The Topaz Lounge on two separate occasions. He meets a stripper there named Olivia and feels an instant spark. Unfortunately for him she is also the boss' girlfriend.

Manfredi Sinatra gave a young, orphaned Olivia Benson a home, and when he dies, he leaves his criminal empire in her hands. Detective Elliot Stabler's job is to dismantle the Sinatra crime family and put Olivia behind bars. Over the course of 25 years, he pursues her, runs from her, and fights his feelings for her.
