Harry receives his letter while the Dursley's are on vacation. Harry takes it upon himself to find out if the letters he receives are true or if someone is playing a massive joke on him. Harry Potter thought his fourth year was going to be peaceful, where he wouldn't have to worry about anything (except the Dark Lord out for his blood, as per bloody usual). The Tri-Wizard tournament was here at Hogwarts and he was not old enough to take place. How wrong could he turn out to be? When his name is called from the goblet, a plethora of changes and secrets are on their way. How can Harry defeat dragons and handle deceiving headmasters, while also learning things about the past that will change not just his life, but the fate of the Wizarding World?

"Slytherin would do well, help you on the path to greatness," the hat seems to be coaxing him, but for something that can read his mind, it sure doesn't seem to know him very well. Harry doesn't want greatness. He doesn't need his name in lights and on everyone's lips. He wants meals, hot ones, whenever he wants, with people that he likes and that like him. Friends he can have adventures with, huddle under the blankets with at night and laugh with. People who might think… think he's worth something. In which Harry is sorted into Slytherin, and Snape deals with the fallout.

Harry reacts differently when his name comes out of the goblet of fire, thanks to a little book and all-seeing eyes. If one event changes, how will the rest of the story evolve?

Having survived first year oblivious to Dumbledore's machinations, but wiser to the world of wizarding politics and Slytherin Ideals, Harry Potter is eager to start his second year. Harry still wants to prove himself, while also coming to terms with the concept that he is worthy of unconditional love but that not everyone can be trusted. Draco still wants to be the best friend that he can, while also developing more of his own identity. Severus still wants a drink, while also grappling with the knowledge that the Dark Lord definitively knows he's a traitor, but as of yet, Lucius Malfoy does not.

Harry and Jax's third summer at Spinner's End and first as part of his new family. With fourth year comes a few surprises and an exasperated Harry that wishes for once that he could just have a regular school term. Or at least one that did not involve actual dragons, too many people trying to nose their way into his business, and the intrusion of far too numerous and unexpected emotions.

A retold story of book one. What if Harry had some help before school? What if he meets someone who can help him achieve greatness? What if he has some looking out for him? Severus Snape receives a time-delayed letter from Lily Evans which gives him his true memories back and reveals that Harry Potter is his son. When Severus goes to the Dursleys to retrieve his son he finds him bloodied and bruised in Dudley's second bedroom. He takes him home, heals him, and does what he must to protect his son from the man who split their family apart, Albus Dumbledore, who is the real Dark Lord. Severus helps Harry through the trials of the Tri-Wizard Tournament, helps those that Dumbledore is controlling through mind magics, and prepares Harry for his upcoming creature inheritance.
