When long-time enemies, Bakugo Katsuki--the all-star athlete and rascal of Ise--and Izuku Midoriya, the town sweetheart, are paired together for a long-term project, the quiet beachside town of Ise suddenly gets a bit louder. In which, Katsuki is an asshole pole vaulter, Izuku is going to fail psychology, and both are about to have the most intense spring semester yet.

Izuku Midoriya is unlucky, to say the least and life hasn't exactly been kind. Things weren't so bad in the beginning, but once he was diagnosed quirkless, well, it all went to shit. Everyone grew to hate him, even his best friend and own father. Was it really that impossible to become a hero without a quirk? It doesn't really matter because to Izuku, the term hero is flexible. Rather than the police station, Katsuki's friends bring him to a hospital after rescuing him from the villains. His wounds were minor, but it didn't make having them treated any less important. As it would so happen, Best Jeanist was also brought to this hospital after the attack. Katsuki is the first one to get his soul mark from their class, which should bring a smug grin to his face, but all it does is gnaw at his insides even more. He already knows his classmates are gonna go around telling everyone whose name they have on them as soon as they get ‘em, and while he would have been willing to tell someone like Eijirou or even Izuku if he pressed enough and his soulmate’s name wasn’t someone they already knew, he’s not so sure about it now. Not when 'Shouto Todoroki' practically bores holes into his face the more he stares at the name. -or, soulmates Katsuki and Shouto falling in love without knowing they're each other's soulmate

“Bakugo, I have to tell you something.” “Fucking say it then.” “I can’t see.” “We know you can’t see, where are your damn glasses?” “No Bakugo.” Shoto’s voice was hollow, quieter than it needed to be. He cleared his throat trying to speak louder this time. “I mean I can’t see, anything.” Bakugo still didn’t know what that meant, so he put a hand in front of Todoroki’s face to confirm his suspicions. Tried doing all he could to make Half n Half flinch or blink or just about anything. But his idiot classmate stood there unmoving, not making any sort of reaction or response to it all. Or Todoroki is unsure why he’s going blind, and Bakugo – even though he hates this fucker with all his might – attempts to help this poor extra, as they both go through the days in denial about their newly formed crushes on each other.

The second worst day of Katsuki's life is when he presents. Katsuki is an Alpha but he would do literally anything to have been an Omega or Beta. He's too dangerous, too feral, too aggressive. He's convinced that if he takes enough pills, put on enough scent patches, people will treat him differently. They never do and Katsuki just continues to spiral.
