Louis had finally found a home to call his own, with the love of his life, and now he and his poor best friend too have to leave everything behind to journey into the unknown future with their lovers by their sides, the threat of all their untimely deaths hanging thick in the air. Harry's problematic twin has returned into his life, and that can't mean anything good. It never has. But is Auron the only enemy in the shadows to worry about? Or is there something much worse behind the curtain? Louis and company are forced to consult the help of a nearby immortal who heads a stronghold in the woods, and the friends they meet there and later in the Sierra Nevadas morph quickly into what would be lifelong companions. Life on the road is rough, at times criminal, but there’s something to be said for the strengthening of bonds as they take buses across the country to stay safe, playing road games and singing songs as they ignore just how distressing their lives have all become.
