5 The Beatitudes (Lc 6, 20-26) - 1*Seeing the crowd, Jesus subiu a um monte. Depois de se ter sentado, The disciples approached him. 2Then he took the floor and began to teach them, dizendo: 3*"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. 4*Felizes os que choram, for they shall be comforted. 5*Felizes os mansos, for they shall possess the land. 6*Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they shall be satiated. 7*Felizes os misericordiosos, for they shall obtain mercy. 8*Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. 9*Felizes os pacificadores, for they shall be called children of God. 10Blessed are those who suffer persecution for the sake of justice, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. 11*Felizes sereis, quando vos insultarem e perseguirem e, mentindo, to say all kinds of slanders against you, por minha causa. 12Exultai e alegrai-vos, for great will be your reward in Heaven; for so also have they persecuted the prophets who have gone before you.»
