The Lazy Crow and the Clever Rabbit Once upon a time, in a small jungle

The Lazy Crow and the Clever Rabbit

Once upon a time, in a small jungle, there lived a lazy crow named Kalu. He loved eating but hated working for food. One day, while flying around, he saw a rabbit named Chintu happily munching on fresh carrots.

Kalu thought, “Why should I search for food when I can trick someone into giving me theirs?” He flew down to Chintu and said, “Oh dear friend, those carrots look delicious! But do you know? The King of the Jungle has ordered all rabbits to share their food with crows. It’s a new rule!”

Chintu, being clever, smiled and said, “Of course, dear crow! But I only give food to those who can dance like a peacock.”

Kalu had never danced before, but he didn’t want to miss the chance. So, he started flapping his wings, hopping awkwardly, and spinning in circles. Seeing his funny dance, all the animals gathered around and started laughing loudly.

Embarrassed, Kalu stopped and shouted, “You tricked me!”

Chintu laughed and said, “And you tried to trick me first! Now go and find your own food!”

From that day on, Kalu learned that laziness never pays off, and Chintu enjoyed his carrots in peace!

Moral of the Story: Hard work is always better than laziness and tricks!
