To shame the wise, God chose what the world thinks is madness; and, to shame the powerful, he chose what the world finds weak. To destroy what the world thinks is important, God chose what the world despises, finds humble and says has no value. This means that no one can be proud, because they know that they are being seen by God. But God has united you with Christ Jesus and made Christ our wisdom. And it is through Christ that we are accepted by God, become God's people and are saved. Therefore, as the Holy Scriptures say: "Whoever wants to be proud, let him be proud of what the Lord does." 1 Coritians 1:27-31
